Ski Area La Plagne
With the lift pass "Plagne Intégrale", you can discover 225 kilometres of piste and 93 lifts ranging between 1,250 and 3,250 m. All major ski slopes from the main four peaks of Roche de Mio (2,700 m), La Grande Rochette (2,505 m), Les Verdons (2,500 m) and Le Biolley (2,350 m) end in the semicircular bowl of La Plagne. Any spot in the ski area can be reached from any of the ski centres! The undisputed highlight is the 15 km long descent from the Bellecôte-Glacier to Montchavin at phenomenal altitudes over 2,000 m. The snowboard areas with halfpipes, boardercross and other extras round off La Plagne's fantastic offer. For beginners, at every station there are level slopes; the tree-free slopes at Belle Plagne are especially good for a first attempt. The deep powder snow areas promise an absolute highlight for off-piste fans. Especially the Face Nord, the north facing side of the Bellcôte glacier, is highly attractive for experienced free riders, however should only be explored with ski guides. With the upgraded "Paradiski Illimité" lift pass (payable locally), you have daily access to Les Arcs' and La Plagne's total 425 kilometres of piste, which are connected by the modern “Vanoise Express”.
