Ski Area Ski- & Gletscherwelt 3000
With the "Zillertaler Superskipass" you can choose from 668 kilometres of piste in the ski areas of Fügen, Kaltenbach, Zell, Gerlos, Mayrhofen, Hippach, Tux, Finkenberg, and Wildkogel, which are all excellently linked to one another by a free train and bus shuttle (see ski region). The ski and glacier world Zillertal 3000 combines the ski areas around Ahorn, Penken, Rastkogel, Eggalm and the Hintertux Glacier - an areal with 245 kilometres and 76 lifts between 630 - 3,250 m. The Hintertux Glacier is even especially snow-sure in summer and offers varied runs. Whether you take on the long run from the Gefrorene Wand (frozen wall), test the buckle pistes at Olperer or prefer to enjoy the deep snow area at Kaserer, there is no lack of options! A further highlight is the "Gletscherrunde", where you can conquer 15,000 meters in altitude and 72 km of runs. The pistes at Eggalm offer a beautiful view of the Tux Valley and the Penken and Horberg ski area is also reachable over the Rastkogel. In addition to the legendary Harakiri piste, you will also find the first-rate "Vans Penken Funpark". Without direct connection to Tux, only reachable over Mayrhofen, a small but fine beginner's area with Austria's largest pendulum cableway awaits you at Ahorn.
